Posted February 05, 2019 02:28:17 When Christian charity, Baptist Charities Albuquerque, was founded in 2007, it was envisioned as a means to support the poor in need.
Today, the Christian charity is known as a leader in the field of humanitarian relief and also operates several charitable organizations, including the Salvation Army.
The church is also one of Albuquerque’s largest employers, with over 100 employees, and its mission is to build and support community-based charitable programs, especially for the most vulnerable.
In 2017, Christian charities donated more than $60 million to local charities.
However, the Albuquerque chapter of Baptist Charites was not able to raise enough funds to pay for its employees’ salaries.
So, the nonprofit was asked to help with the fundraising.
After the local Baptist organization raised more than 80% of the required amount for the salaries, Baptist had to pay the remaining amount for its staff members.
Baptist had not received the amount needed to cover their employees’ salary, and they were left with a hole in their budget, Baptist’s executive director, Kristine O’Neil, said.
O’Neill said she was not sure how much the church would have to raise to cover its employees salary, but hoped that it could raise more than that.
After receiving donations, Baptist also launched a program in which employees of its churches could become volunteers for the nonprofit.
In a statement, Baptist said the program is working well.
The organization also said it is working to raise the amount of money required to cover employees’ compensation.
The Albuquerque Baptist Church received $6.4 million in funds through the program and has already paid more than 1,000 of its employees salaries.
Baptist has a long history of being a leader among Christian charities in the United States.
Baptist received more than 7 million donations in 2017, and the church is currently seeking donations to fund a $3 million dollar fund for its next-generation mission to build, develop, and support new Christian-based organizations.
SOURCE Christian charity receives $6-million in funding from Christian charity and philanthropic foundation in Albuquerque, New Mexico article Posted Feb 05, 2018 10:50:27 The Albuquerque Community Foundation, a nonprofit that focuses on helping the homeless, was able to collect $6,851,099 from a partnership between a Christian charity organization and a charity called Christian Charities Albuquerque.
The Christian charity had originally hoped to raise $6 to $7 million for the program, but it was able get more than half of the amount they needed.
The $6 and $7 funds were to help pay for the staff salaries of the local charities, but they were not sufficient.
Christian Charters Albuquerque had been working with Baptist Charters Albuquerque, the parent organization of Baptist, to help get the needed funds to the charity.
The Albuqueros were asked to take on the responsibility of finding the additional funds and then collecting the remaining funds through their own efforts.
Baptist is one of the largest and most well-known Christian charities, and Baptist was able be a partner in the process.
Baptist said that the $6 money was necessary to fund their staff salaries, and that they had been in talks with other charities, too.
“We were fortunate enough to be able to help a church community that is already struggling to meet their own needs,” said Baptist executive director Kristine Olivas.
“I hope the money will help these families stay in their homes, keep their businesses running and help them stay out of homelessness.”
Baptist said they are grateful for the support from Baptist Charades Albuquerque.
