The charity navigator for Sweet Charity Golf Tournament said that he has been overwhelmed by the response to the charity golf tournament that is taking place in his town of Carmel, Pennsylvania.
“The people that I am going to have to tell are going to be so grateful to me,” Richard Speranza said.
The Charity Golf tournament has been held in Carmel for more than two weeks, and Speranzas parents are thrilled with the event.
“They’re just doing the best they can to help us,” he said.
“It’s just wonderful and they’ve been so kind to us, they’ve given us so much and they’re doing everything they can for us.”
The charity golf tour has raised over $1.6 million for Sweet charity, which has been providing emergency housing for children who have experienced homelessness.
More than 300 children have been given emergency housing in the last few months.
