Trump’s charity has been taking advantage of the tax laws to avoid paying taxes, a new report says.
The Trump Foundation is in the process of raising money to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey and other humanitarian disasters.
But it’s not paying federal taxes on donations, the Washington Post reports.
The foundation, whose annual revenue has fallen from more than $2 billion to $800 million, is paying little or no taxes.
The report comes amid a public feud with the IRS over how it operates.
Trump has claimed the charity is using tax-exempt status to avoid being taxed.
But the IRS said it wasn’t able to find any indication the foundation had used it to avoid taxes.
Trump has said he would release his tax returns, though he has refused to do so.
